ABOUT LEA SEVCOV
Lea works in many different mediums, sometimes combining several in one painting to achieve the depth, texture and unique effects. She finds abstract images in everyday objects and scenes and tries to incorporate them in her paintings. Education is important to keep growing as an artist so she takes workshops and attends other artist demonstrations but mostly self taught.
She is a long time member of the Garibaldi Art Club in Maple Ridge, currently living in Pitt Meadows and participating in numerous club events and exhibitions where she has had her works chosen by jurors and won both honourable mention and in 2016 2nd place. Lea was very proud to achieve her Active Status with the Federation of Canadian Artists attached to the Fraser Valley Chapter. Lea has had her works in several galleries and has participated in Studio tours and numerous community events highlighting the arts in the Greater Vancouver area.
Lea has also instructed numerous workshops for the Garibaldi Art Club and in her studio. Art is a very healing activity both mentally and physically which she shares by sometimes teaching to people how to cope suffering from chronic pain by exploring art exercises.
